Catch up!

Okay....I'm horrible at blogging, I get it. So this is just a quick "summer catch up" post.
Jackson has absolutely been LOVING the warmer weather. Granted, we still live in Rexburg, so when I say "warmer weather", I mean low 70's. Not hot by an
y means, but warm enough that we can spend the afternoons running around outside or playing in his little blow up pool.
About a month ago, we all went down to Utah for the weekend to see my brother, sister-in-law and their little family who live in Arizona, and my sister who lives in Wyoming and her two little kids. It's nice
to be able to get a break and to just sit around and talk. Jackson loves going down to Utah, because he always gets to do what the other kids do. Meaning...he had his first ice cream cone with his cousins. He knew EXACTLY what to do with it the second we handed it to him. No instructions necessary.

He finished off the ENTIRE thing! Cone and all!

He was trying so hard to climb up the slide after his cousin Heidi.

The next weekend, we made our way to California to meet up with Trenton's family at Disney Land. I never went much as a kid growing up, but my husband definitely found his inner-child again.

(Classic picture with Mickey. Don't mind my incredibly white pregnant self.)

Jackson loved playing and splashing at the pool, but the poor kid had to squint the whole time. As you can see, he gets that from his Dad.

Jackson loved all of the outside rides where he could look around and see what was going on. He wasn't quite as impressed with anything inside, so we stuck to his favorite rides. A bugs life, Dumbo, and the classic carousel.

Anytime we let him out of the stroller, he just took off like he owned the place.

The first night we were there, he just couldn't take it anymore. He fell asleep on my lap during the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, and never looked back.

Once we made it back to Rexburg, it was back to the usual routine of play dates and being outside.

Someone in Rexburg finally came to their senses and build a small water park. I'm not really sure you can call yourself a water park when you only have 2 water slides...but we'll take anything with water! Jackson loved the lazy river and the splash pad with slides. We put his little sun glasses on him, and he thought he was the coolest kid ever. He'd pull them down a little bit, giggle, then push them back up.

Now that most of our summer trips have come and gone, we just have a few more things left on our checklist. Trenton is anxiously awaiting his graduation in July, and I'm anxiously awaiting the delivery of our next little boy in August. So we're taking this one day at a time! 4 weeks left for Trenton, and hopefully just 5 and 1/2 weeks left for me. As for Jackson...he's just happy as long as he has his sippy cup in one hand and a snack in the other.
