I obviously haven't gotten ultra "gunhoe" about this whole blogging thing yet, because I blog like once every other month. I would say that I'm really going to try and work on that...but my Mom tells me not to lie. So I'll say, "I MIGHT try and post a little more often" instead. That seems a little more truthful.
A lot of people say that their blogs are more like a journal to them, and that they want their kids to be able to look back on things. Eh...that's not really the case at all with me and this newly developed blog of mine. Basically it's just to satisfy anyone's curiosity as to how big our little family is getting, or to look at pictures. I figure that within a few years, there is going to be another version of blogging, just like facebook is the new myspace. I don't think anything stays around very long anymore until something "newer" and "better" comes along.Jackson just keeps growing by leaps and bounds. It seems like every week he is either in a new diaper, shirt, or pants size. Yes, my 10 month old boy is in a size 5 diaper, size 18 month pant, and a size 24 month shirt. Sometimes 2T if it has been washed a lot. That's my little "linebacker" as his doctor calls him.
He walks around everything and does laps around the recliner in our living room. If he isn't paying attention, he let's go and stands on his own while examining the toy in his hand. About two weeks ago, he took a few steps on his own. Being new parents, Trenton and I got so excited and I wish I had had my camera handy. He'll take a few steps here and there, but it has started to turn into a game for him. If we stand him up on his own, he knows exactly what we want him to do, and he'll just fall backwards so we have to catch him, and he lets out a little giggle. His new favorite game though is chasing Dad around the recliner. Jackson will crawl as fast as he can to try and catch up to Trenton, and once Trenton turns around and looks at him, Jackson will book it in the opposite direction. At such a young age, he already thinks he's so funny and clever. That's my boy!
We call this his little "vampire" face.
Jackson loves it when Dad shares his jello.
Trenton has a bad habit of letting Jackson drool all over an apple whenever we go to the grocery store.
Kathryn, he is SO cute! I just love that smile of his! :o)
