Jordan had his 18 month check up a few weeks ago, and there was no surprise when the Dr told me his growth percentages. He's not quite as big as his brother was at this age, but he's catching up. I think he will be as tall, but maybe not as thick as Jackson is.
Everyone likes to think that their kid is "the smart" one. But it was nice to have the Dr tell me that Jordan is talking on about a 2.5 year old level. If you tell him to say anything, he will. Little parrot. His current new phrase for everything is "oh my gosh!"
He's the complete opposite of Jackson in some aspects. Jackson SCREAMS when you take off any of his clothing without his approval. Jordan on the other hand, LOVES to be naked. All day everyday, this kid wants to be naked. He keeps us laughing and we love him to death.

Quick recap
Everyone always posts pictures of the cute things their husbands do for them for Valentines Day...well, the chocolate covered strawberries and box of chocolates didn't stick around long enough to take a picture. Guilty as charged! But the flowers are still sitting BEAUTIFULLY on my kitchen counter. Trenton had to work most of the day, but that night, we took our two boys with us out to dinner, and to say that they LOVED it would be an understatement.
We went shopping at the mall a few weekends ago, and Jackson found this hat that he refused to take off. Instead of making a scene, Dad was a big old softy and bought it for him. He wears it EVERYWHERE. Some nights I have to pry it off of his head. Jordan didn't want to be left out, so he got an amazing pair of sunglasses....
The new favorite toy of the week is the laundry basket. Oh the simple pleasures in life! Jordan was playing so hard with it until all of the sudden we looked over and he was conked out, needing a little break. If it's not the laundry basket at his side, then it is the vacuum cleaner. Without fail. He pushes and pulls it everywhere.
We thought it was time the boys started their own little "piggy banks." Thanks to Grandma, they have perfect little starter ones that they can carry around with them, and dump into a bigger one later on. I stuck them up on the shelf the other day, just in time to see Jackson come bolting into the room at full speed yelling, "Stop stealing my money Mom!"

The Aquarium
All of my family was in town for the new year, and some of us took our kids to the aquarium. Jackson had been to one in Denver, but Jordan had never been. It would be an understatement to say that he loved it. I feel like we need to get a season pass or something?
Jordan camped out at the shark/turtle/moray tank for a good 25 minutes.
Jackson loved looking at the fish, but he REFUSED to touch any of them. He'd say, "No, YOU touch them!"
This video gets me every time...

Who knew...
Who knew Jordan would be so obsessed with a trampoline? He has a perma grin on from the second he steps on, to the second I have to pull him off kicking and screaming.

Gingerbread Houses
Growing up, my family always decorated gingerbread houses. Once my parents realized how big of a tradition it was becoming, and how large our family was becoming...my Grandpa built little wooden houses for us kids to decorate. Much easier than actual gingerbread! I borrowed a few of them from my Mom, and the boys LOVED it. And by boys, I don't just mean my kids. Trenton took his house very seriously.
He realized the candy tasted good pretty quick. |
He took decorating almost as serious as his dad. |
Jordan is a genius when working with candy... |

Jackson added a yard to his house at the end. |
